Goodbye walker. We don't use the walker anymore. Because it's dangerous. She runs into your feet or ankles. She learned how to get out. When she sees something on the floor, she'll somehow try to get it. You take your eyes off her, and I don't even know what will happen.
Reading Belle?? I believe that's a Target catalogue she grabbed from the table.

Bingle & Jeff gave this tent & tunnel gift for Belle's birthday.
It's still big for Belle, but nothing is stopping this little lady!She was hesitant to go at first. She just kept looking at me through the other side.

After 10 minutes of just staring inside, she finally went in. (Just an FYI: yes, she's wearing a bathrobe. Because it's more comfortable than a sweater for her)

And she made it!

Can you believe I set this tent up myself? It's really easy. But I'm not one to just set up tents!

I let Belle have a cupcake. All by herself. No help involved.

She makes it look delicious. And look at those cheeks.

I wasn't kidding when I said she could wear this chicken jacket as a "normal" jacket.
From behind, it doesn't look costume-y at all.
In the car. Belle sometimes hates being in the car seat. She has to be occupied with something for her to sit quietly in there. We have no dvd player in the car. Thank goodness I thought of going on Youtube so she can watch Baby Einstein. She is so quiet when watching. I was holding the phone for awhile until Aris had a genius idea to squish it on his headrest. Genius!

A great day

Yesterday was a great great day.

Because...

THE YANKEES WON THE WORLD SERIES!

New York is one happy city right now! It's great to finally cheer the Yanks on after 9 years. Aris is a HUGE fan. So that means he'll be a happy camper for quite some time.
My favorite part was the player's reactions to the final out & jumping on each other.

I don't even know how to describe this picture. It speaks for itself. It's my favorite!

While watching & cheering crazy for the Yanks, my sister & I made cheeseburger cupcakes. Got this tutorial from Kathleen awhile ago. I've been wanting to make them & yesterday was a perfect time.

Making these cracked me up! They look so funny. But I love how they turned out.

And it tasted so good!! Wanna make more..mmmm

Earlier in the day I finished making Belle's pink dress.

I made the pink dress a few months ago, but kept it in my closet because it was too big on Belle and I thought there was something missing. Aris got me the Making Children's Clothes book & it has cute flower ideas. I took out the pink dress, tried a flower yo yo, & it completed the dress. And Belle fits into it. YAY!

Incase you were wondering, the red polka dot dress pattern was also from the same book.

Indeed..it was a great day!

Halloween '09

Happy Halloween!!

Guess what Belle dressed as??

No, she was not a pumpkin, not a pea pod, not a superhero, not Elmo, not a ballerina, & definitely not a princess.

I'm not too fond of princess costumes. Uncomfortable, puffy dresses in tacky glittery colors in transparent fabric doesn't thrill me. It's not...cute.

If you haven't guessed yet, Belle dressed as....

Belle Little! or simply a chicken. Doesn't it suit her perfectly?! I bought this costume in September with no intention of going Halloween shopping. At Old Navy, my sister spotted this costume. We imagined Belle wearing it & we bursted out laughing. We HAD to get it.

Hooray for a family picture! We can't take a family picture with Belle not dressed up as anything. Watching her Baby Mcdonald Einstein gave me the idea to dress up as farmers to compliment this chicken. Aris laughed & agreed.

Trick or treat adventure:

Saw these fun pumpkins at a neighbor's house. Belle is feeding them a tootsie roll.

When we got home, everybody was caught up in the Yankee game while Belle quietly played with her candy & pumpkin bucket. She was too quiet until Aris turned around. She opened a snickers bar & was already half way through eating it! Silly baby.

This chicken jacket is so warm, comfty, & soft. Aris mentioned how it should be used on a daily basis. Not just a one time use. It's suitable for the cold weather nowadays so why not?!

And today, she wore this jacket to church. I think I deserve to be called a cool mom.

Polka dots

Everyone knows I love polka dots. It's fun & playful. Ever since I've had Belle, I think I love polka dots even more. It's everywhere when we shop for babies!

At JCPenney, I found a red polka dot dress & wanted it for Belle. I was pretty bummed when I picked it up, noticed it was for a 6 month old and it was the only one left!

The other day I went to the fabric store, saw the same polka dot print, purchased a lot of it, & made a dress for Belle.

I call it a play dress.

I made the straps tie-able so when she grows out of the dress, it can be used as a top.

I was going for a flower-like detail. If I could change it, I would place the "flower" higher...but this is okay too.

At this point, she was trying to watch tv & I was in her way.

I have a lot more fabric left over. Don't be surprised if you see more red polka dot clothes. I'm already tempted to make another dress!

I was trying to have Belle stand still so I can take a quick picture, but this time, she was walking & taking the most steps I've seen her do. I was applauding & taking pictures at the same time. I like to believe that it was the dress that got her walking!

Yep, it was the dress that made her more confident to walk.

I'm enjoying these pictures. Belle's happy, tons of toys, & lots of colors! I'm loving the colors.

Belle rarely rides this car. Because she'd rather hide her little toys in the compartments.

She does this for awhile..opens, puts toys, closes, open again, puts more little toys, close again, etc.

Belle is fascinated with big boxes or containers. She plays with the box rather than with the toys most of the time.

Typical sight of the living room. Move the furniture aside & it's playtime! By the way, where's Belle???

Seriously, just put her in a box and she'll be happy.

Belle was wearing her Jeter shirt right before the Yankees won to move on to the World Series. GO YANKEES!

Nowadays, Belle always wants out of the playpen & wants to roam around the floor. She's way more independent, and is being brave. She's taking more steps by herself.

The walker was great, she ran freely & happily. But recently she learned how to get out of it. I caught her many times reaching for things & almost falling out. She needs constant eyes on her if she's on the walker. Actually....when is it ever safe to take your eye off this wild little girl???
